The month of March every year witnesses a certain tension in the air - millions
of children appear for their board exam. Tenth and Twelfth grades are supposed
to the two most crucial years of a person's academic life. In many ways, they
make or break a person's future. Or at least that is believed to be so. In fact
we often come across many a so called ‘merit holder’, who has been defeated in
the test of life by those who barely even touched distinction in exams while
growing up.
So even if we want to believe that the 10th and the 12th are important
years and one must fare well in them, we must remind ourselves that they are
not the ultimate benchmark of how successful one is going to be in their life.
If not this, then what is?
What is it that is really important?
We, at English E.Teach, believe that a strong foundation and the right
confidence are the two most important deciding factors of anyone's career or
life so to say.
Hence, we are insistant on children getting an education in one's mother
tongue. A good vernacular education will ensure that they will be able to go to
their parents for doubts, rather than just give up on their studies when they
feel overwhelmed and then drop out of school
Having said that, one cannot undermine the importance of English as a language
either. For equal and good job opportunities, one will have to be strong in
communication and going by the current work culture in India - English language
is a prerequisite for any good job.
Thus, our formula for a child’s success at English E.teach is simple - Study
all subjects in the mother tongue to lay a strong foundation + do English side
by side using our DVDs.
